I’m proud to present the following video I directed for Artists for Trauma, a young not-for-profit foundation “dedicated to enriching the lives of both civilian and military trauma survivors by pairing recovering patients with established artists from various disciplines.” The founder of AFT and subject of the video is Laura Sharpe, who survived a horrific helicopter crash in 2008 that claimed 3 other lives. Laura used artistic expression and collaboration to help her healing and recovery process, and now she is hoping to do the same with other Level 1 Trauma patients. Joslyn and I will be working alongside Artists for Trauma and recovering trauma patients in the coming months; this video is part of a new push to bring attention to the work AFT is doing.
I encourage everyone to take 2 minutes and listen to Laura’s story; it is quite remarkable. Maybe you or someone you know might be interested in helping.
Thank you,
Brian
